SWITCHEROO
The past week's "AI" discussions across some of the many education groups I'm in inspired me to collect several "AI" projects into one short (2 min) video.
Often people who haven't used "AI" beyond chatting imagine one well crafted prompt can generate the song, image, or video you want. That is definitely not my experience. I often fail to get anything useful and always edit the output to come closer to my original vision.
I spent a few hours adjusting the prompts and the lyrics to get smooth 'songs' with the rhymes and musical breaks in places one would anticipate. This "cowboy campfire" version is my favorite.
Lyrics
Once upon a time there was a telegraph key
Clickity-click, as simple as can be!
Off and on, like a light switch, you see
That's how messages, traveled land and sea!
Chorus:
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
It's not magic, it's just what switches do!
Dots and dashes, ones and zeros too
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
Then came computers with switches so small
Billions and billions, we cannot see them at all!
They flip really fast - that's their only call
On and off making stories for you all!
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
It's not magic, it's just what switches do!
Binary code in patterns so true
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
Now people say that "AI is so smart!"
But it's just switches playing their part
No real thinking - just copying art!
Bamboozling their users from the start!
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
Not artificial - not intelligent too!
Just machine switches - nothing new!
Switch-a-roo, switch-a-roo!
Clickity-click
It's just switches... through and through!
Here are the tools I used.

I am amazed at how changing a couple words in the short prompts produce such different results. Compare this version, with the same lyrics, to the video.
